Welcome to TipVetter. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
1. Purpose of the Platform
TipVetter is a secure information intake and management platform designed to assist law enforcement and authorized agencies in collecting, vetting, and managing tips and related information. The platform facilitates the submission of information by members of the public and authorized users but does not independently verify the accuracy of submitted content.
2. Tip Submissions
Users may submit information voluntarily through TipVetter. Submissions may be anonymous or identified, depending on agency configuration.
By submitting a tip, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are providing information voluntarily.
- You should not submit false, misleading, or knowingly inaccurate information.
- You should not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, or defamatory.
- TipVetter does not guarantee that a submission will be reviewed, acted upon, or responded to.
False reporting to law enforcement may be a criminal offense under applicable laws.
3. No Emergency Services
TipVetter is not an emergency service.
If you are experiencing an emergency or immediate threat to life or safety, contact 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
4. Use of Information
Information submitted through TipVetter may be reviewed, retained, shared, and acted upon by authorized law enforcement personnel in accordance with applicable laws, agency policies, and investigative needs.
TipVetter does not control how participating agencies use submitted information and is not responsible for investigative decisions or outcomes.
5. Privacy and Data Handling
TipVetter is designed to support privacy-conscious tip submission. However:
- Absolute confidentiality or anonymity cannot be guaranteed.
- Submitted information may become part of official law enforcement records.
- Information may be disclosed as required by law, court order, or legal process.

6. User Responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the platform.
- Submit malicious code, automated spam, or unauthorized access attempts.
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes or to harass others.
TipVetter reserves the right to restrict or block access to protect system integrity and availability.
7. Platform Availability
TipVetter is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain availability and security, uninterrupted access is not guaranteed, particularly during high-volume or emergency events.
8. No Warranty
TipVetter makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy or completeness of submitted information
- The outcome of investigations
- The timeliness of review or response
Use of the platform is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TipVetter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including reliance on submitted information or failure to act on submissions.
10. Modifications to Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction of the operating agency, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
